The Draft:
Each
year there will be a 9-Round Rookie/Free Agent Draft.
The location will alternate yearly between Houma and Baton
Rouge.The draft will include rookies and undrafted veterans.
Any player cut from the 50-man roster will be returned to
draft pool the following year. The draft date and location
may vary year to year. I will try and find the most agreeable
time for everyone.
The draft order will be as follows:
1st - 6th = Non-playoff Teams, worst to best record
7th = Loser of the Wildcard round with worst record
8th = Loser of the Wildcard round with better record
9th = Loser of Consolation Game
10th = Winner of Consolation Game
11th = League Runner-up
12th = League Champion
Check the website for the official Draft Order.
Picks do not reverse like they did at the initial draft.
(Example: the 6th pick drafts 6th in every round.)
Every
owner is expected to attend the draft. If an owner
cannot make all or
part of the draft, it is up to that owner to
notify the commissioner. The commissioner may draft players
according to the draft list provided
by an owner. Absent
owners who do not notify the commissioner will
have their
picks skipped
